About 45 minutes from the Lodge on scenic Highway 1 is the world famous Hearst Castle.  William Randolph Hearst's 'Enchanted Hill' residence is not to be missed if you are planning a trip to the California Central Coast.

The San Luis Creek Lodge is centrally located in the county, so you can spend a morning or afternoon at the Castle, and add on a North County nature walk or a wine tour.  When you return to the Lodge, you'll be in the middle of the action for dinner and nightlife, and ready to go the next morning.  We are 15 to 20 minutes from wine country, beaches, and only a mile from the shopping and entertainment of charming downtown San Luis Obispo.
